Callister Park, Public park in Hastings-Sunrise, Vancouver, Canada
Callister Park covers 3.5 city blocks with grass fields, cherry blossom trees, and benches scattered throughout the green space on Oxford Street.
The park opened in 1921 as Con Jones Park, named after a sports promoter who purchased the land for $10,000 from Ada M. Stevenson.
The park hosted numerous soccer matches of the Pacific Coast League from 1939 to 1970, including games with international teams like Newcastle United.
Located at 2875 Oxford Street, the park accommodates up to 5,000 visitors and features accessible pathways for walking and recreational activities.
After a fire destroyed the original structures in 1934, the park was rebuilt and later renamed Callister Park in 1942 through a municipal agreement.
