Description
Three Queens is a mountain in Kittitas County with three separate peaks, the easternmost rising to about 6,700 feet. The formation creates a distinctive landmark visible across the surrounding Alpine Lakes Wilderness area.
History
The mountain was first climbed on record in 1925 by a group of mountaineers including Glen Bremerman and C. A. Fisher. This early ascent helped establish it as a destination for climbers exploring the Cascade Range foothills.
Culture
The Pacific Crest Trail passes along the western slope of Three Queens, connecting hikers to a network of paths through the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.
