Clark County Wetlands Park, County park in Las Vegas, United States.
Clark County Wetlands Park is a nature preserve on the eastern edge of Las Vegas Valley covering roughly 2900 acres of green space. The park includes four distinct habitats, walking trails throughout the grounds, and a visitor center with exhibits and educational resources.
The park originated from a water management project that installed nine flow control structures by 2005 to reduce environmental harm from wastewater discharge. This engineering transformed what had been an impacted area into a functioning natural ecosystem.
The Nature Center displays exhibits about local wetland ecosystems and their role in water quality management for the region. Visitors can see how these habitats connect to the daily life and environmental needs of the surrounding community.
The park grounds are open daily from sunrise to sunset, while the Nature Center operates Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM. Walking trails are clearly marked, and viewing areas are positioned throughout for easy wildlife observation without special equipment.
The park was one of the first projects in the region to transform wastewater into an advantage for nature by creating safe habitats for native species. It demonstrates how urban infrastructure and nature conservation can work together.
