Liberace Museum, Entertainment museum in Paradise, Nevada.
The Liberace Museum is a facility in Paradise, Nevada, dedicated to the career of the entertainer and pianist. The rooms house wardrobe, ornamented keyboard instruments, vehicles, and jewelry presented in thematically arranged areas.
The institution opened in the late seventies and remained accessible to visitors until 2010. It preserved the legacy of an artist whose performances merged classical piano music with stage shows that reached audiences worldwide.
The collection shows how elaborate stage clothing and richly ornamented instruments became the trademark of an entertainer career. Each costume and piano on display tells the story of merging classical music with show entertainment that attracted audiences over decades.
The Liberace Foundation manages parts of the collection today at Liberace Garage, which opens daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. Visitors can view the objects in a quieter setting than during the earlier times of the larger house.
Among the preserved items sits a 1972 Bradley GT whose body was painted in metallic gold. Silver emblems mounted on the sides of the car complete the eye-catching appearance.
