Naujaat, Territorial hamlet in Kivalliq Region, Canada

Naujaat stands at the southern tip of the Melville Peninsula along Hudson Bay, where seagulls nest on nearby cliffs during summer migration.

The Hudson's Bay Company founded a trading post in 1916, followed by Revillon Frères in 1923, marking the start of permanent European settlement.

The community maintains traditional Inuit practices through sealing, fishing, hunting, and creating carved artworks from local materials.

The hamlet provides municipal services including water delivery, sewage management, and garbage collection, supervised by eight elected council members.

Located precisely on the Arctic Circle, Naujaat experiences periods when the sun never sets in summer and never rises in winter.
