Sasquatch Mountain Resort, Ski resort in Fraser Valley Regional District, Canada
Sasquatch Mountain Resort is a ski area in British Columbia located near Harrison Lake, featuring multiple marked runs and terrain parks spread across a wide area. The mountain accommodates skiers and snowboarders of different ability levels on its various slopes.
The area started as informal ski routes used by loggers during the 1950s, then became an organized ski area called Hemlock Valley Recreation in 1969 with basic lift infrastructure. This transition established the foundation for what would grow into a larger operation.
The resort maintains active collaboration with the Sts'ailes First Nation to develop economic opportunities and partnerships throughout the expansion projects.
The resort rents equipment and offers instruction for skiers and snowboarders of all levels. Visiting on weekdays later in the day or arriving early on weekends helps you avoid peak times and enjoy the slopes more comfortably.
The mountain receives significant annual snowfall, which supports longer operating seasons compared to many other resorts in the region. Future expansion plans aim to substantially increase the terrain and facilities available to visitors.
