Zhuhai St. Regis Hotel & Office Tower, Mixed-use skyscraper in Shizimen Central Business District, China
The Zhuhai St. Regis Hotel & Office Tower is a 328-meter-tall structure with 67 floors located in the Shizimen Central Business District, combining hotel rooms and office spaces within a glass and steel framework. The building provides more than 484,000 square meters of usable space, including a hotel with 250 rooms and premium office areas distributed across multiple levels.
The structure was commissioned by Huafa Group and designed by architecture firm RMJM, opening in October 2018. This project represented a major milestone in the development of Shizimen as a contemporary business center.
The building's form reflects the rocky coastal landscape that defines Zhuhai, creating a visual connection between the structure and the natural environment that surrounds the city.
The office spaces feature widths of 18-22 meters, providing generous and flexible work areas for occupants. The building uses natural ventilation techniques and specific orientation strategies to optimize energy efficiency and ensure comfort for both workers and visitors.
The tower's design was specifically engineered to minimize wind loads while maximizing natural air flow through its orientation and geometry. This engineering approach demonstrates how contemporary buildings in the region balance performance with environmental considerations.
