Missoula County Courthouse, Neoclassical courthouse in Downtown Missoula, United States.

The Missoula County Courthouse is a neoclassical courthouse built from sandstone with a distinctive copper-domed clock tower in downtown Missoula. The building spans two acres and houses administrative offices and courtrooms that serve county functions.

The building was constructed between 1908 and 1910 from a design by architect A.J. Gibson, replacing an older courthouse that could no longer meet the growing needs of the county. This new structure reflected the regional expansion and development at the start of the 20th century.

The building displays eight historical murals at its south entrance that depict local history and were created by Edgar S. Paxson. These frescoes tell stories of the region and serve as a visual anchor within the courthouse for visitors.

The building is located at 200 West Broadway in downtown Missoula and is easy to reach as a public government building. Visitors should note that this is an active workplace where formal dress and respectful conduct are expected.

A two-ton bell hangs within the copper-domed tower and has marked time for the community since the building's early 20th century completion. This historical bell is an overlooked detail that remains part of the daily soundscape of downtown Missoula.
