Devonian Gardens, Indoor botanical garden in downtown Calgary, Canada
The fourth floor of The CORE Shopping Centre houses one hectare of botanical gardens with 500 trees, 50 plant varieties, and multiple water features.
The Devonian Group of Charitable Foundations and Calford Properties donated this indoor garden space to Calgary in 1977, attracting global recognition.
The gardens function as a public gathering place where downtown workers, shoppers, and residents connect with nature while participating in various community activities.
Visitors can access the gardens Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM, Mondays until 5:15 PM, and Sundays from noon to 5 PM.
A 900-square-foot living wall acts as a natural biofilter within this climate-controlled environment, maintaining consistent temperatures throughout Calgary's varying seasons.
