Tower Fall Campground

Tower Fall Campground is a camping facility in northern Yellowstone with 31 individual campsites scattered between forested and open areas alongside Tower Creek. The site sits at approximately 6,600 feet elevation and provides basic facilities including vault toilets, drinking water, and bear-proof food lockers.

The campground was established after Yellowstone National Park was created in 1872 and developed as lodging near the waterfall. It grew alongside tourism infrastructure in the northern part of the park.

The campground serves as a gathering place for nature lovers who come to observe wildlife and enjoy outdoor activities. Visitors use the location to fish for cutthroat trout and explore nearby hiking trails.

The campground operates from mid-May through September and offers only basic amenities, so visitors should arrive well prepared. It is important to store food in provided containers and follow safety measures for bears.

The campground sits near Lamar Valley, an area where wolves and bears can be observed in their natural habitat during early morning outings. Many campers take advantage of this proximity when planning their wildlife viewing trips.
