CityPlex Towers, former hospital in Oklahoma, United States
CityPlex Towers is a complex of three tall buildings in Tulsa, with the tallest reaching 60 floors and approximately 650 feet high. The structures rest on deep foundations anchored in bedrock and are designed to withstand wind movement and severe weather.
The complex opened in 1981 as a hospital called City of Faith Medical and Research Center, built by preacher Oral Roberts to merge faith and medicine. After facing mounting losses and occupancy challenges, the hospital closed in 1989, and the buildings were converted into office space.
The towers reflect a vision that blended faith and science in a way that shaped the building's design. The main lobby was inspired by King Solomon's court, and the overall layout carried spiritual symbolism throughout its spaces.
The complex is located at the corner of 81st Street and Lewis Avenue in Tulsa and is easily accessible by car. A restaurant on the top floor offers city views, and multiple entry points provide access to office spaces during business hours.
Oral Roberts reported having a vision during construction of a towering Jesus figure who instructed him to continue the project. This spiritual experience reinforced Roberts' conviction that the building carried divine approval for the ambitious undertaking.
