The 292-meter sandy beach features clear waters facing Middle Island, with palm trees decorating the coastline and modern facilities along the shore.
The beach area transformed from a pirate base in 1841 to a recreational destination when the Hong Kong Golf Club established nearby in 1898.
The beach holds regular Dragon Boat Festival celebrations, bringing together local communities for traditional water sports competitions and ceremonies.
Visitors can access changing rooms, showers, barbecue pits, a water sports center, and a beachfront shopping mall called The Pulse.
The Environmental Protection Department rated the beach Grade 1 for water quality, making it one of the most monitored swimming locations in Hong Kong.
