Aranuka

Aranuka is an atoll in the Gilbert Islands made up of two main islands connected by sandbanks and reef formations. The landscape consists of typical tropical coral features with flat terrain and densely vegetated coastal areas.

European sailors first documented this island in 1788 and recorded it in their ship logs. Since that initial encounter, it has remained part of international records and regional maps.
