Goygol District

Goygol is an administrative district in western Azerbaijan with varied terrain ranging from valleys to steep mountain slopes. The landscape features multiple lakes and streams, with scenery alternating between green lowlands and rocky highlands throughout the region.

German emigrants founded a settlement in 1819 that grew into a wine-producing center and shaped the region's economy for generations. The area later underwent major changes through regional conflicts and political shifts during the 1900s.
