Baku Crystal Hall is a modern venue in Azerbaijan's capital designed to host large-scale events with its smooth, gleaming exterior. The building contains spacious interior areas that accommodate concerts, shows, and sports competitions for thousands of guests.
The venue was built between August 2011 and April 2012 under the direction of the German architecture firm Gerkan, Marg and Partners. Following its completion, it quickly became a key venue for major international events in the region.
The venue hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2012 and continued with performances by international artists including Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and Rihanna.
The building offers multiple entrances and areas with refreshments as well as first aid stations for emergencies. Visitors should arrive early to take advantage of the various entry points and spacious interior corridors.
The backstage area is generously sized with dedicated spaces that serve athletes or performers depending on the event type. This infrastructure allows the building to switch flexibly between sports competitions and music spectacles.
