Bhabanipur Shaktipith, Hindu temple complex in Sherpur Upazila, Bangladesh
The temple spans across four acres of land along the Karatoya river, featuring multiple shrines dedicated to various Hindu deities and ceremonies.
Following the legend of Sati's sacrifice at King Daksha's Yagya, her left anklet fell at this location, establishing it as one of the 51 Shakti Pithas.
Devotees perform daily rituals including Pravati, Balya Bhog worship, and evening Arati ceremonies, with special celebrations during Maghi Purnima and Ram Nabomi festivals.
Visitors can reach the temple from Dhaka via the Jamuna Bridge, with local transportation available from Ghoga Bot-tola bus station to the temple grounds.
The temple houses no idols of Bhawani; instead, a Kali idol represents Ma Sati's left anklet, making it distinct among Shakti Pithas.
