Mirpur Thana, Administrative thana in Dhaka District, Bangladesh
Mirpur Thana spans 6.42 square kilometers in northeast Dhaka, containing multiple sections from Mirpur-1 to Mirpur-3 with defined administrative boundaries.
The thana started operations in 1962 as part of Keraniganj during British rule, later belonging to Tejgaon before gaining independent status in January 1972.
The population of 500,373 residents maintains diverse religious practices including Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Christianity, with multiple community centers supporting local activities.
