Shan kaya

Shan kaya is a megalithic sanctuary in Sladkodum featuring carved rock inscriptions and ritual niches scattered across natural stone surfaces. The site displays carefully chiseled markings and hollows that are embedded within the mountainous terrain.

This sanctuary developed when early communities used the mountain as a sacred place to connect with their spiritual beliefs. The carvings were added over time, showing different phases of use by successive groups of people.
