Свети Дух

The Sveti Duh church stands on a rocky formation with vertical cliffs on its northern and western sides, protected by fortress walls elsewhere.

The religious site incorporates an ancient Thracian fortified sanctuary with walls measuring 0.8 meters thick, built from carefully arranged stone slabs without mortar.

The structure of this religious complex maintains similarities with the sanctuary located in the Pashino Bardo area near the town of Rakitovo.

The church complex occupies 0.36 hectares of land and features defensive walls preserved to a height of 1.2 meters in specific sections.

The site combines three distinct functions: a religious building, a rock sanctuary, and a fortress, creating a multilayered historical monument.
