Отдих и култура, Public park in Plovdiv, Bulgaria
Rest and Culture Park is a large green space in Plovdiv spanning approximately 280 hectares along a rowing canal. The grounds feature extensive walking paths, open spaces, and facilities designed for outdoor recreation and activities.
The area was originally known as a hunting park before being developed into its current form in 1956. A portion of the land once belonged to Bulgarian Prince Ferdinand.
The park hosts the Brotherhood Memorial and a zoo that draw visitors throughout the year. These facilities shape how local residents and tourists use the space as gathering points for families and groups.
The park is located in western Plovdiv and accessible from multiple entrances with parking available nearby. Visitors can explore the various areas on foot throughout the year.
The park was based on an ambitious 1936 development plan that included an extensive lake system and swimming pools. Although not all plans came to fruition, traces of this original vision remain visible in the park's layout.
