BDC Building, Office tower in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada

The BDC Building is an office tower standing at the intersection of Main Street West and MacNab Street South in Hamilton. The structure spans 22 floors and houses four passenger elevators plus an additional service elevator for the parking levels below.

The building first opened in 1972 as the IBM Building before becoming the headquarters for the Business Development Bank of Canada operations in Ontario. This transition marked a shift from private corporate use to serving as a government financial institution.

The building represents a central point for Canadian entrepreneurship, providing financial support and advisory services to local business owners throughout the region.

The building sits in a central location in Hamilton and is easily accessible by public transit or car. Its position at a major intersection makes it a useful landmark for navigating the downtown area.

The tower ranks among Hamilton's tallest structures and stands out noticeably in the city's skyline. This prominence gave the original IBM Building considerable visibility when it first rose, a distinction it maintains today.
