Columbia Lake Provincial Park

Columbia Lake Provincial Park encompasses 290 hectares of protected land, featuring diverse ecosystems, hiking trails, and opportunities for wildlife observation along the northeastern shore.

The British Columbia government established Columbia Lake Provincial Park on January 7, 1988, initially protecting 260 hectares before expanding to 290 hectares in 2004.

Indigenous communities have maintained strong connections to Columbia Lake for generations, utilizing its natural resources and preserving traditional knowledge of the area.

The park remains accessible year-round without entrance fees, offering visitors opportunities for hiking, swimming, fishing, and birdwatching in a natural setting.

Located at 1,014 meters above sea level, the park includes 15 hectares of lake foreshore and serves as a critical stopover point for migratory birds.
