Castle Building

Castle Building is an office structure at the intersection of Stanley Street and Saint Catherine Street West in Ville-Marie, featuring classical columns and symmetrical architectural elements. The facade and ground level display typical neoclassical details that give the structure its character in the surrounding downtown district.

The Ross and Macdonald architects constructed this building between 1926 and 1927 during a period of intensive urban development in Montreal. The project emerged at a time when the city was modernizing its commercial infrastructure.
