Bernina railway line

The Bernina railway line connects Saint Moritz in Switzerland to Tirano in Italy, passing through 13 tunnels and crossing 52 viaducts. It descends significantly through alpine terrain and features impressive bridge structures throughout its route.

The railway was built between 1903 and 1910 as a crucial link between Switzerland and Italy. It represented a significant engineering achievement of its era in crossing difficult alpine terrain.
