Constructed in 1984 for the African Cup of Nations, the stadium underwent a major renovation in 2023, expanding its capacity from 25,000 to 40,000 seats.
The stadium received its name 'Peace Stadium' following a reconciliation ceremony in 2007 that marked the end of the Ivorian political crisis.
The facility includes a main western stand with VIP boxes, multiple parking areas, and modern facilities that meet international sporting standards.
Three local football clubs share this venue as their home ground: ASC Bouaké, Alliance Bouaké, and Bouaké Football Club.
