Charles Konan Banny Stadium

Charles Konan Banny Stadium is a modern sports venue in Yamoussoukro with seating capacity for about 20,000 spectators. The grass pitch measures 105 by 68 meters and is surrounded by an athletics track, while two large LED screens mounted on arches display match information to visitors.

Construction of the stadium began in October 2018 and was completed in June 2021. Its official inauguration took place in 2022 during a qualifying match.

The stadium honors former Prime Minister Charles Konan Banny, who led Ivory Coast and passed away during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.

The stadium is easily accessible with modern facilities for spectators, including a stand displaying the colors of the Ivorian flag on the eastern side. The floodlights installed beneath the canopy enable evening events, making it usable at various times of day.

The stadium was named after Charles Konan Banny, a former Prime Minister of Ivory Coast, whose memory is preserved through the facility's name. This naming connects the sports venue to an important figure in the country's recent history.
