The Post and Telecommunication Hub is a modern skyscraper serving as a regional communications center in Guangzhou. The building houses office and telecommunications facilities across its floors, functioning as a key infrastructure point for the region.
Construction started in 1995, carried out by the Guangdong Fourth Construction Engineering Company, and the tower was handed over on 14 July 2005. In 2007 the China Civil Engineering Society awarded it the Zhan Tianyou Prize for its environmental design.
The tower is the headquarters of China Telecom's Guangdong branch, successor to the former Guangdong Provincial Telecommunications Bureau. Its lower floors hold telecom production and service halls alongside offices, so the building is both a working exchange and a commercial address in Yuexiu District.
The building is situated in a central business location with good public transportation access. Keep in mind that this is an active office and telecommunications facility, so visitor access to interior areas may be limited.
The building has 68 floors in total: 6 underground, 65 above ground and an 8-storey podium, with about 145,000 square metres of floor area. It was once the second-tallest skyscraper in Guangzhou.
