Conghua District

Conghua District is an urban district in northern Guangzhou that connects agricultural plains with forested hillsides. The area contains several community centers and rural settlements linked by main roads and country lanes.

The area was a rural county during the Qing Dynasty and later became a county-level city before joining Guangzhou as a district in 2014. This change brought modern administrative structures to a region long shaped by farming.

Local communities practice traditional festivals and handicrafts that differ across the rural villages in the area. You can see these customs especially during harvest season and at local gatherings in market areas.

The area is easily reached by public transport from central Guangzhou, making day trips possible. Good road connections and regular buses link the different communities and make exploring the region straightforward.

The area is known for natural hot springs in Wenquan that visitors use for bathing and relaxation. At the same time, extensive orchards cover the land, especially with lychee trees that shape the landscape and become especially lively during harvest season.
