Baiyun New Town

Baiyun New Town is a business district in northern Guangzhou spanning multiple communities including Huangshi, Xiaogang, Jichang, Yunshan, Chuangyi, and Keziling. The area developed around Baiyun Mountain features contemporary office buildings, shopping centers, and green spaces creating a mixed-use urban environment.

The district emerged from converting the former Baiyun Airport site into a modern commercial center as part of Guangzhou's expansion strategy. This transformation reshaped the northern region and established it as a key economic hub for the city.

The district houses major cultural institutions like the Guangdong Painting Academy, Guangzhou Museum, and Guangdong Performance Centre. These venues shape daily life and provide spaces where residents and visitors encounter art, exhibitions, and performances throughout the year.

Two metro lines, Guangzhou Metro Line 2 and Line 14, connect the district to other parts of the city and enable easy movement. These connections make it simple to travel between this business area and other neighborhoods.

The district integrates six distinct communities around Baiyun Mountain with new parks including Feixiang Park and Community Park. These green spaces provide respite within the busy business setting and serve as popular places for walking and rest.
