Luhu Park, Urban park in Guangzhou, China
Luhu Park is an urban park located at the southern foot of Baiyun Mountain with a large central lake as its focal point. The grounds feature curved footbridges, small pavilions, and diverse landscaped zones arranged around the water.
The site was developed in its current form during the 1980s and includes the Xian Xinghai Memorial Garden honoring the Chinese composer. This development transformed the area into a space that combines natural landscape with artistic heritage.
The park serves as a daily gathering place where local residents walk, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors together. You will see people practicing traditional movement exercises and gathering in groups throughout the grounds.
The park is free to enter and accessible by several bus routes serving different areas of the grounds. Early morning and late afternoon visits offer the best experience, when there are fewer people and the light is particularly pleasant.
The grounds contain one of China's four largest artificial lakes, making it a notable engineering achievement. Walking paths around the lake reveal seasonal flowering plants and autumn foliage depending on the time of year.
