Longgang District extends across 682 square kilometers in northeastern Shenzhen, encompassing both urban developments and natural landscapes within its boundaries.
The district transformed from agricultural lands to an urban center after its establishment in 1993, following Shenzhen's rapid industrialization and population growth.
The Longgang Museum of Hakka Culture preserves and displays the heritage of local communities through exhibits, artifacts, and educational programs.
Five metro lines connect Longgang to central Shenzhen, while multiple subdistricts including Longcheng, Pinghu, and Bantian provide residential and commercial services.
