Ap Lei Pai

Ap Lei Pai is a rocky island in Hong Kong's Southern District that connects to Ap Lei Chau through a natural sandbar when the tide goes out. This temporary link creates a walking route that crosses between the two pieces of land.

The island has remained largely untouched throughout Hong Kong's urban transformation, preserving part of the region's original geography. A lighthouse was built here to aid shipping traffic in these waters.
