The shopping center opened in 1982 with six retail floors. Free shuttle buses transported visitors there until the Island Eastern Corridor was completed in 1984.
The place functions as a gathering spot where local residents come together for seasonal events and community activities throughout the year. Families and friends meet here to spend time together and take part in celebrations.
Visitors can access free Wi-Fi for three hours and enjoy 5G network coverage. Two parking structures are available for those arriving by car.
The shopping center is home to Ice Palace, the only ice skating rink on Hong Kong Island. The facility underwent complete renovations in 2020 and attracts visitors for winter sports and skating.
