Jin Jiang Tower, 43-story luxury hotel in Huaihai Road, Shanghai, China

Jin Jiang Tower is a 43-story building on Huaihai Road with over 500 rooms and several restaurants throughout its floors. The structure includes conference spaces and other facilities designed for both leisure and business visitors.

Jin Jiang Tower was completed in 1988 and, at 153.9 metres with 43 floors above ground and one below, was Shanghai's tallest building until the Oriental Pearl Tower rose in 1994; the Chinese source dates the start of trial operation to October 1989. It was designed by Wong Tung & Partners and managed by the Shanghai Jinjiang (Group) Associated Company. Deng Xiaoping and the United Nations Secretariat visited the building.

The hotel's name, Xin Jinjiang Dajiudian, ties it to the Jinjiang group that manages it through a Shanghai Jinjiang (Group) joint venture. Deng Xiaoping and the United Nations Secretariat both visited the building, and the 41st-floor Lantian revolving restaurant is where guests eat while the room turns.

The hotel stands at 161 Changle Road, near the Huaihai Road commercial area in central Shanghai. The 43rd floor holds a helipad, and the 41st-floor Sky Restaurant rotates, so diners see the city from changing angles. The building has one basement level below its 43 floors.
