Guyue Bridge, Stone bridge in Yiwu, China

The Guyue Bridge extends 31.2 meters in length and 4.5 meters in width, featuring a single-span design with girder-arch construction over Dragon Creek.

Built during the Southern Song Dynasty in 1213, the bridge contains inscriptions of 12 Chinese characters detailing its construction period and historical context.

The architectural elements of Guyue Bridge mirror those depicted in the famous Song Dynasty painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival.

Located 100 meters west of Yazhi Street, the bridge maintains its original structure without requiring significant repairs since its construction over 800 years ago.

The bridge incorporates a rib-like girder system in its construction, demonstrating advanced engineering techniques from the Song Dynasty period.
