New Asia Middle School, aided school in Hong Kong
New Asia Middle School is a secondary school in Kowloon, Hong Kong, situated on a large campus with multiple buildings and facilities designed for student learning. The site features light blue-painted buildings, spacious classrooms, science laboratories, a library and auditorium, along with an art gallery, Confucius statue square, and murals depicting Chinese cultural heritage.
The school was established in 1973 after New Asia College relocated to Sha Tin, taking over the college's former campus grounds. Since then, it has grown significantly, with modern facilities added over the decades to support evolving educational needs and expanded student enrollment.
The school celebrates Chinese traditions through events like essay competitions on filial piety and Confucius birthday observances that take place throughout the year. Students engage with these cultural practices on campus, learning to appreciate their heritage while developing respect for others through daily interactions.
The school is located on Farm Road in To Kwa Wan and is easily accessible by public transport, particularly via the nearby To Kwa Wan MTR Station. The campus is open during school hours and features classrooms, sports fields, and various facilities supporting student activities and learning throughout the day.
The school is organized into four houses named after Chinese virtues: Knowledge, Literacy, Discipline, and Courtesy, which unite students throughout their school years. This house system promotes cooperation and school spirit through inter-house competitions and events that develop leadership qualities.
