The ONE, Commercial building in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.
The ONE is a 24-story commercial building in Tsim Sha Tsui that blends contemporary design with practical retail spaces across its levels. Multiple floors are organized to accommodate shops and commercial tenants throughout the structure.
Construction began in 2006 and the building opened in 2010 after collaboration between LWK & Partners and Tange Associates on its design. This partnership brought together skills from both local and international architectural teams.
The building shows how Hong Kong makes the most of limited space by building upward, a strategy you can see reflected in the way this structure rises among its neighbors.
Located in a central district, the building connects easily to multiple transportation lines. The retail spaces are spread across various floors, making it simple to navigate between different shops.
The building includes an advanced wind engineering system designed by the Alan G. Davenport Group to handle Hong Kong's typhoons and strong winds. This specialized system helps the structure stay stable during severe weather.
