Tsim Sha Tsui East Waterfront Podium Garden, Urban park in Yau Tsim Mong District, Hong Kong.
Tsim Sha Tsui East Waterfront Podium Garden is an elevated urban park built along the southern shore of Victoria Harbour in the Yau Tsim Mong District of Hong Kong. It sits on a raised podium above the waterline and is laid out with paved walkways, planted beds, and benches facing the open water.
The garden was developed as part of the Tsim Sha Tsui East reclamation project, which turned a former industrial waterfront into public open space during the latter half of the 20th century. The reclaimed land was gradually built up with hotels, commercial towers, and this public garden running along the water's edge.
In the early morning, people gather on the open terraces to practice tai chi as the harbor comes to life around them. Later in the day, the same spaces fill with visitors pointing cameras toward the skyline of Hong Kong Island across the water.
The garden sits directly above East Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station, which makes it very easy to reach without a long walk from public transit. It is open at all hours and free to enter, and the elevated walkway connects to the wider promenade along the harbor.
The podium was deliberately positioned to face the nightly Symphony of Lights display, in which buildings on Hong Kong Island are lit up across the water, making this garden one of the closest free viewing spots on the Kowloon side. The low railing along the water edge means the view is mostly unobstructed from the planted areas themselves.
