Old Kowloon Fire Station

The Old Kowloon Fire Station is a fire station in Tsim Sha Tsui featuring red brick construction with large arched windows located at the corner of Salisbury Road and Kowloon Park Drive. The structure is part of the 1881 Heritage shopping complex and sits near multiple public transportation hubs in the Yau Tsim Mong District.

The building was constructed in 1920 and served the central Kowloon area for more than 50 years until operations transferred to a new station on Canton Road in 1971. This relocation marked the end of its role as an active fire station and the beginning of its preservation as a historical landmark.

The building displays European architectural style from the early 20th century, reflecting British colonial design principles applied in Hong Kong at that time. Visitors can observe how practical considerations shaped the structure through its generous window openings and robust materials.
