Tsim Sha Tsui Centre, Commercial complex in East Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong.
Tsim Sha Tsui Centre is a mixed-use building with office floors and retail spaces in East Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. An elevated pedestrian bridge links it directly to the neighboring Empire Centre, making movement between the two straightforward.
The building was completed in 1980, making it the first large project in what was then a newly developing part of East Tsim Sha Tsui. It was developed by Sino Group together with architects Wong & Ouyang.
Alfresco Lane, a covered walkway on the ground floor, draws people in for meals and coffee with views toward Victoria Harbour. The mix of local and international restaurants makes it a natural meeting point for the area.
The complex is within walking distance of Tsim Sha Tsui East station and the Star Ferry pier, so it fits easily into a half-day walk through Kowloon. The internal walkways and pedestrian bridge help with orientation in the surrounding area.
The building houses the headquarters of Sino Group, the same developer that built it. During Christmas and Lunar New Year, the facade is decorated in ways that completely change how the complex looks from the street.
