Tung Chung New Development Ferry Pier, ferry pier in Hong Kong

Tung Chung New Development Ferry Pier is a single-storey reinforced concrete building on Tung Chung Waterfront Road, Lantau Island. Its long, low structure has a flat pale roof over white columns and open bays, with dark-framed windows and panels below. A white two-storey block with small square windows and thin masts stands at the centre; to the right, a covered walkway rests on thick round concrete pillars above dark timber pilings in the water.

Tung Chung Development Pier was built to replace Tung Chung Old Ferry Pier in Ma Wan Chung, further west. From 9 December 2005 Fortune Ferry took over the west berth service linking Tuen Mun, Tung Chung, Sha Lo Wan and Tai O. The east berth's Tuen Mun route, run by New World First Ferry, ceased on 1 July 2008 after no operator bid; KMB route E33P replaced it.

The pier sits on Tung Chung Waterfront Road, with the North Lantau Highway flyover immediately to its west, connecting to Chek Lap Kok. The east berth has had no regular ferry since 1 July 2008, when the Tuen Mun route ceased; KMB bus route E33P now links Tuen Mun and the airport via Tung Chung. The west berth is used by Fortune Ferry's Tuen Mun–Tai O service via Sha Lo Wan. A local cha chaan teng and a small store inside the pier sell fishing bait such as small shrimp and bloodworms; anglers often fish from the nearby stone seawall.

The pier's east berth lost its Tuen Mun ferry on 1 July 2008 when no operator bid for the route; KMB bus route E33P took over the link between Tuen Mun and the airport via Tung Chung. The west berth still has Fortune Ferry's service to Tai O via Sha Lo Wan.
