Cathay City is Cathay Pacific's headquarters on 4 hectares of reclaimed land at the southeast corner of Hong Kong International Airport. Designed by Llewelyn-Davies, it opened in 1998 and comprises three 10-storey office towers, a 23-storey staff hotel called Headland Hotel, a flight training centre, a workshop and storage building, and a 40-metre steel pedestrian bridge.

The complex opened in 1998 and marked an important turning point for Cathay Pacific Airways by bringing all functions together in one central location for the first time. This allowed the airline to better control and coordinate its growing activities across Asia.

The name Cathay City echoes the airline's historic 'Cathay' branding, and the complex includes the Cathay Pacific Experience museum, whose three galleries trace the airline's early history, development and modern form. A 40-metre steel pedestrian bridge links the buildings.

The site is located close to Hong Kong International Airport, which makes it easy to reach for travelers and employees. Visitors should be aware that it is a private premises and access may be restricted.

The building houses specialized flight simulators where pilots and cabin staff train regularly. These facilities allow employees to practice emergency procedures and service protocols in a realistic setting.
