Tung Chung Public Library

The Tung Chung Public Library spans two floors within the Municipal Services Building, featuring sections for adults, children, and multimedia resources.

The library developed as part of Hong Kong's public library network expansion, serving the growing population of Lantau Island's eastern region.

Students and residents gather at the library to access materials about local traditions, with dedicated collections focusing on Islands District heritage.

The library opens from noon until 8 p.m. on Mondays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.

The facility includes specialized computer stations for visually impaired users, electronic lockers, and a coffee corner for patrons.
