Ying Tung Estate

Ying Tung Estate is a public housing complex with four residential blocks situated along the northeastern coast of Tung Chung, containing approximately 3,580 housing units. The development stretches along the waterfront with modern blocks designed to accommodate thousands of families in this area.

The complex was developed in 2018 by the Hong Kong Housing Authority as part of ongoing efforts to address housing shortages in urbanized areas. This new development followed years of planning to provide housing for growing population needs in the region.

The four residential buildings carry names reflecting traditional Chinese naming conventions: Ying Hei House, Ying Fook House, Ying Chui House, and Ying Yuet House. This naming approach connects the everyday living experience of residents with cultural traditions.

Visitors and residents can reach the complex through nearby bus stops and transit connections that link to other parts of Tung Chung. The estate is walkable and offers plenty of space to explore the surrounding area on foot.

The buildings follow non-standard architectural patterns that set them apart from typical public housing in Hong Kong. This design approach gives the estate a distinctive appearance that catches the eye of visitors exploring the area.
