Temple of Marquis Wu, Nanyang

The Temple of Marquis Wu extends across 37,000 square meters, featuring traditional halls, corridors, and gates arranged along a central axis through the grounds.

Built in the 6th century and renovated in 1672, this temple commemorates Zhuge Liang, a military strategist who served as chancellor during the Three Kingdoms period.

The temple houses 40 clay statues depicting figures from the Shu Kingdom, along with stone tablets, incense burners, bells, and traditional musical instruments.

The temple maintains daily operations from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with entrance fees of 60 yuan for adults and 30 yuan for students.

This temple stands as the sole ancestral shrine in China dedicated jointly to both a king, Liu Bei, and his chancellor, Zhuge Liang.
