Mao Zedong's Former Residence, Traditional residence in Shaoshan, China

The residence contains a collection of buildings with traditional Chinese architecture, covering an area of 473 square meters in Hunan Province.

Mao Zedong resided in this house from his birth in 1893 until 1910, returning multiple times during the revolutionary period until 1927.

The residence displays personal belongings, photographs, and artifacts that illustrate the early life conditions of the Chinese Communist Party founder.

Visitors can access guided tours in multiple languages, with transportation available from Changsha city through regular bus services to Shaoshan.

The residence includes the original grain storage room where Mao studied late at night using an oil lamp during his formative years.
