Yanghu Wetland Park

Yanghu Wetland Park is an urban park with wetlands and wetland environments spread across multiple zones dedicated to recreation and nature conservation. The park features areas designed for leisure activities, habitat protection, river ecology, and educational programs for visitors.

The area was previously known as Waguankou Estuary before becoming part of Yanghu Township in 1951. Over time, the location underwent several administrative changes before being integrated into Yuelu District.

The park established a connection with Phalen Regional Park in St. Paul during 2015, creating opportunities for environmental education and cultural exchanges between China and the United States.

The park is accessible through multiple entry points, including direct metro stations and bus connections. Visitors should plan for adequate time to explore the different zones within the grounds.

The grounds support more than 700 plant species and over 130 bird species in their natural habitats. This biodiversity makes the location an important research site for studying ecological systems.
