Qiu Jin Tomb, Memorial grave in Xihu District, China

Qiu Jin Tomb stands at the southern end of Xiling Bridge on the northwest slope of Gushan in Hangzhou. The granite base, about 1.7 m high, holds a 2.7 m white marble statue of Qiu Jin with a topknot, Tang-style jacket and pleated skirt, left hand on hip and right hand holding a sword. Carved into the base are Sun Yat-sen's inscription "Heroine" and the old "Three Wonders Stele".

This person was a revolutionary executed by the Qing Dynasty in 1907 for her political activities. The memorial site was later built to honor her legacy.

The site honors a woman who fought for women's education and social reform in China. Visitors come here to remember her impact on Chinese society.

The memorial is accessible via marked pathways in the Xihu District, where informational displays share details about the person's life. The location by the lake makes it easy to find and visit.

The white marble statue, 2.7 metres tall, was made by Ying Zhenhua, Xu Shuyang and Zhong Zhaonai of the China Academy of Art. Qiu Jin wears a Tang-style jacket and pleated skirt, left hand on her hip, right hand holding a sword upright, her back to Gushan and her face toward West Lake.
