Fliegender Kuss

Flying Kiss is a rotating platform ride in Wulong featuring two massive structures shaped like giant kissing lips that rise about 52 meters above a cliff face. The platforms operate as a unified mechanical system that swings riders back and forth over the surrounding valley.

The ride opened in May 2020 as part of efforts to develop tourism in the remote Wulong mountain region. This timing marked a significant expansion of amusement attractions in the area.

The giant figures reference a local legend about the Dragon King's son and a fairy who loved each other across a vast distance. Local guides often share this story with visitors, connecting the ride to the region's mythological roots.

The ride is best reached from Chongqing city center by bus, though the journey takes several hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water, as the site sits at elevation in a mountainous setting.

Passengers experience the ride without seats or restraints, standing on open platforms that swing freely over the valley below. This design choice creates an unusually direct and immediate sensation of height and movement.
