Gräfenhainichen

Gräfenhainichen is a town in Saxony-Anhalt situated near Lutherstadt Wittenberg and Bitterfeld at roughly 90 meters elevation. The area sits between the Düben Heath and maintains connections through regional highways and rail links.

The first written record of Gräfenhainichen dates to 1254, but a major fire destroyed early documents and delayed the town's development. The renewal of town rights in 1454 marked a new start following this disaster.
